Leave from hotel early to explore morning life in Northern Thailand. We stop at the foot of the Chiang Mai Hill to witness the daily ritual of Buddhist monks leaving the temples and walking among the local people to accept alms offerings. You will experience how to make an alms offering to the monks also. Then we drive up on hill to visit Doi Suthep temple, the most famous landmark in Chiang Mai. They say you have not truly been to Chiang Mai if you have not visited this temple! At the top of the temple you can view the pagoda, believed to enshrine the holy relics of the Lord Buddha, shining with real gold. A viewing platform also offers panoramic views of Chiang Mai City and visit Wat Pha Lad Temple is one of the most beautiful temples in Chiang Mai and is constructed in Burmese architecture style and over 600 years old. Next we will visit the local market. Here you will see local food and life style of the local people and lunch at the local restaurant ( authentic thai food ) After lunch we journey to Patara Elephant farm. After arrival, you can enjoy feeding, touching & having interaction with the baby elephants 3-4 months old. then you will learn about the elephant habit and how to take care of them when you are with them. After that we put on your elephant trainer uniforms and get ready to feed your own elephant to get to know and trust each other, Then it is time to ride, play and bath with them in the waterfalls. Is that exciting This camp is one of the best camp in Thailand for a good taking care of elephants. Here you can enjoy the real riding an elephant on bare neck , feeding them and taking a bath with them in the elephant swimming pool in a nature surrounding with mountains for hours till it is time to return to your hotel.
