Leave from hotel early to explore morning life in Northern Thailand. We stop at the foot of the Chiang Mai Hill to witness the daily ritual of Buddhist monks leaving the temples and walking among the local people to accept alms offerings. You will experience how to make an alms offering to the monks also. Then we drive up on hill to visit Doi Suthep temple, the most famous landmark in Chiang Mai. They say you have not truly been to Chiang Mai if you have not visited this temple! At the temple you can see panoramic views of Chiang Mai City. After that we will visit the local market in the countryside. At the market you will see local food and life style of Thai local people. Lunch at local restaurant. ( Authentic Thai and Chiang Mai food ) After lunch we will move to Doi Inthanon National Park which encompasses the highest mountain in Chiang Mai. We visit the Wachirathan Waterfall, the most beautiful waterfall in the park before we do a gentle downhill hike for 2 hours on a wonderful nature trail, we follow the streams and hidden waterfalls to a Karen hill tribe village and on the way you will see farming, flowers, coffee plantation and try mountain coffee. we also will experience their culture and the way of life of white Karen hill tribe before returning back to hotel.
