Day 1
Leave from hotel early to explore morning life in Northern Thailand. We stop at the foot of the Chiang Mai Hill to witness the daily ritual of Buddhist monks leaving the temples and walking among the local people to accept alms offerings. You will experience how to make an alms offering to the monks also. Then we drive up on hill to visit Doi Suthep temple, the most famous landmark in Chiang Mai. They say you have not truly been to Chiang Mai if you have not visited this temple! At the top of the temple you can view the pagoda, believed to enshrine the holy relics of the Lord Buddha, shining with real gold. A viewing platform also offers panoramic views of Chiang Mai City. On the way we will visit Wat Pha Lad Temple is one of the most beautiful temples in Chiang Mai and is constructed in Burmese architecture style and over 600 years old. Then we will visit elephant poo poo paper ( you will see process how to make paper by elephant poo poo ) and local market. Here you will see local food and life style of the local people and lunch at the local restaurant ( authentic thai food ) After lunch we head to visit long neck Karen hill tribe village and have a fun time with elephant interaction. ( No riding ), feeding, walking along the picturesque mountain trails, let them free and eating some bamboos and grasses, fun bathing, body scrub your lovely elephants in the pool. and drive to stay overnight at Thai farmer village in the countryside ( Home stay ).
